But I can say that your images match some of mine, and some of mine are better than yours. I also tried the 900 and the FZ1000, which I returned. I have the Nikon P610 and previously had the Nikon P600. Obviously a TC of say 1.7 magnification can put 189% more pixels onto the subject than the normal 24x lens setting, but I doubt that including iZoom here would have any positive effect, and might have a negative effect.īut I look forward to trying what you have recommended here. EZ on the other hand should give the same pic as the normal pic when adjusted to the same magnification, being merely a pre-crop. My own limited experience to date is that with the FZ200, a normal 24x pic cropped is better than an iZoom 48x pic uncropped. Your thread is fine and most of us are interested in how other people try to do things. My combination will take many more photos in the same time as those & some would be acceptable to many birders. I was only trying to help birders who wish to find a way to get round the limitations of the p610&900 namely speed & hopeless burst/buffer capacity for birding.

I know a reduced size 1000x750 image is only 0.75mp, the original was of course full size.

Large with a copyright is better - we want to see the details and quality, the copyright won't stop us seeing that. but if people are that scred, why bother posting at all? Now - I DO understand if people make them so small to discourage people "staling them" for their own uses.

It's 2016, nearly everywhere has ADSL minimum, not 33.6k modems taking an hour to download a 1600x1200 boobie photo! I stand by what I said, it's just not worth even a mouse click to see an image that small. but to be all hissy-nose-out-of-joint over a comment about picture sizes is pre-school playground kids fighting. I could understand, perhaps, if i was scathing of the PHOTOS (which I'm not, they look sort of nice, hard to tell, they are so small). The issue of size is that we can see the quality too - a small image hides any tele lens imperfections.Ī larger picture lets us see feather details and such.
