So, I went in at 6 weeks and I got to see the baby. And she and her husband continued to try to conceive. And so I think she just felt like it was kind of the best possible way of dealing with a difficult emotional situation. Her doctor had actually sent her home with prescriptions for pain relievers and with Tylenol. They had the card with a letter signed by all the nurses and a little pink and blue bracelet with a little butterfly charm for the baby. She has the procedure, her doctor performs it. And he actually like held my hand while he liked talking through the procedure and how long it would take. And I was very nervous and I was very sad. Like it was - pam belluckĪnd so he schedules that for a few days later at a hospital. amandaĪnd then he scheduled me for that following Wednesday. And it’s important not to leave the tissue in there because that can cause infection and bleeding and various complications. It’s a very standard procedure to remove the pregnancy tissue from her uterus. So, her doctor recommends that she have a surgical procedure which is called a dilation and curettage. He’s like, but really, the safest thing for you to do is to get this D&C. And when you count situations where people don’t even know that they’re pregnant yet, it can be as high as one in four pregnancies ending in miscarriage, especially in the first trimester. One in 10 known pregnancies end in miscarriage. amandaĪnd I remember asking him, like did I do something wrong? And he’s like, no, no miscarriages are so common. pam belluckĪnd that basically she had experienced a miscarriage. He told us the news and me and my husband just cried. amandaĪnd gave them the very disappointing news that there was no heartbeat in the embryo. pam belluckĪnd at one of those regular appointments in her first trimester of pregnancy, the doctor did an ultrasound. How far along were you? amandaĪnd she had an obstetrician gynecologist. pam belluckĪnd last year in 2021, they were thrilled to discover that she was pregnant. pam belluckĪnd she and her husband have been trying for the past couple of years to have children. I am married to the most amazing man in the entire world. amandaĪmanda is 35-year-old woman who lives in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
